This live, comprehensive session at SFU Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver is designed to refine your approach to single counseling sessions, enabling you to meet your clients' needs more effectively.
For the first time, we’re integrating a pre-symposium workshop into our conference structure to expand our offerings and address key sector needs, ultimately increasing the value of the entire event.
With limited space available, early booking is essential.
How can this seminar enhance your career development practice?
Master the art of impactful counseling in a single session by honing in on your clients' core needs. This comprehensive, full-day workshop will empower Career Development Professionals (CDPs) to shift from problem-focused counseling to a solution-driven approach, enabling clients to overcome career anxiety and experience post-traumatic growth following job loss.
Participants will gain essential skills, including:
Crafting positive, creative questions that steer conversations away from problems and toward solutions.
Maintaining a solution-oriented focus to help clients build constructive narratives, reducing their career-related anxiety or crisis.
Recognizing when to employ consultation teaching versus therapeutic counseling to ensure productive, positive sessions.
This seminar will equip you with the tools to support your clients' career well-being without engaging in mental health counseling. Walk away with the confidence to foster lasting, positive change in your clients' careers.
