Career Development Professionals (CDPs) who go “beyond the basics,” adopting a more nuanced approach and attending to a client’s unique expression of cultural identity, are better positioned to effectively meet their clients’ needs. Join Dr. Roberta Borgen (Neault) as she discusses how customized, relevant, and culturally informed interventions can strengthen the CDP-client working relationship and outcomes.

About the Presenter:

Roberta Borgen (Neault), PhD - An award-winning career management specialist with almost four decades of relevant experience in counselling, coaching, consulting, training, curriculum design, research, and writing, Roberta recently retired as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences for Yorkville University and served on Team Canada for the 2017 International Symposium on Career Development and Public Policy in Korea.

Roberta's strengths lie in her professionalism, infectious enthusiasm for empowering individuals and organizations, and "hands on" experience working with diverse groups of people. Her pragmatic "can do" attitude ensures that customized solutions are innovative and affordable. Equally comfortable with leadership/executive teams and individuals just entering the workplace, Roberta has lived/worked/travelled through more than 70 countries, supporting people from diverse cultures, educational levels, and employment experiences, across all stages of life. She brings vivid anecdotes, practical examples, and a wealth of resources to her training events, publications, and keynotes/presentations.
